The second step of the podium for Julien Quentel in Spain!
The windsurfer Saint-Julien Quentel Martiners is mounted on the second step of the podium at the third stage of the PWA World Championship, held in Spain on the Costa Brava, in mid-June
Julien Quentel is brilliantly illustrated in the Costa Brava in San Pere Pescadore of 12 to 17 June, during the third stage of the PWA Slalom World Championship windsurfing.
In total, 64 runners tie is in 8 groups of 8 riders who competed for 5 days. He had to run six races in an average wind of 12-17 knots. Very fit, Julien Quentel spent all his Heats to access each time the final winner. At all stages, he finished sixth, fourth, third, first and eighth. His consistency has allowed him to access the second step of the podium, behind Dunkerberck. Antoine Albeau was awarded the third place of the stage.
Very pleased with this performance, Julien Quentel wanted to dedicate his second place to his island of St. Martin, where he grew up and discovered his passion for sports.
Thanks to this good result, Julien Quentel is ranked third in overall standings of the PWA World Championship. We will be sure to follow after his exploits in the summer.
